Applications & Registration
Every child and adult visitor to H.U.G.S. Ranch must have a valid, signed H.U.G.S. Ranch release form before they will be allowed to participate in ranch activities, regardless of their involvement with horses. This is a requirement of our insurance policy.
Mentor & Ranch Wrangler Requirements:
Requirements for Mentors and Ranch Wranglers:
Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Must be affiliated with a church
Must possess a desire to show love to all who visit the ranch
Must possess a willingness to support and contribute to the mission of H.U.G.S. Ranch
Must complete the appropriate application and forms
Additional requirements for Mentors:
Must be 18 years of age or older as of June 10, 2012
Prefer knowledge of horses and riding experience but will train potential candidates
Must participate in pre-summer training
Additional requirements for Ranch Wranglers:
Must be 14(as of June 10,2012) to 16 years of age
Prefer knowledge of horses and riding experience but will train potential candidates
Must be able to work independently with little supervision
Must have own transportation to and from the ranch
Applications will only be received at H.U.G.S. Ranch, P.O. Box 3, Jamestown, MI 49427. All applications are due on or before March 31, 2012. Any applications received after that time will be reviewed and applicants contacted if openings are available. All applications will be reviewed and applicants will be contacted in early April.
Sessions will be held on Mondays and groups or camps on Wednesdays. Should we have an abundance of mentors we may add a second day of sessions.
Session Participant Requirements:
Children/teens must be 5-18 years of age
Registration begins on March 5, 2012. Only completed 2012 applications and forms will be accepted on or after that date.

Applicant's names will be placed on a list in the order they are received by mail.
You will be contacted and offered a date and time. If you chose not to come you have the option of having your name placed at the bottom of the list and offered another date and time if any are still available.
Children may attend one time per month. Should we add another day if mentors are available, twice a month may be offered.

Group and Event Information:
Various dates are offered to groups of 16 children ages 5-18 who are part of area support groups, churches, and school programs. Please contact the ranch to see if your group qualifies and available dates. This program is offered on designated Wednesday mornings from 9:30-12noon.
Those coming to the ranch to participate in a special event such as clean-up day, ranch festival helpers, or volunteer groups please watch for event dates to be posted.

Horse Camps:
The $30 camp fee must accompany the registration form. Children may attend one camp per summer. Camps are on designated Wednesday mornings from 9:30-12noon. 2012 Horse Campe Registration Form.
